25th Foundation Day

Pinewood Hospital is going to celebrate its 25th foundation day on 12 th October. On that occasion a public meeting is organized in the auditorium of Pinewood Residential School at 2:30 PM. Two guest lectures are planned for the occasion. Eminent Cancer Specialist of North East, Dr. Amal Kataky, Director of B. Baruah Cancer Institute, Guwahati, Assam will talk on the topic of 'Cancer in North East; its Prevention and Management'. Renowned Physician Dr. Ratan Kataky, Prof & Head of Medicine, Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh, Assam will talk on the subject 'Relevence of Food and Nutrition in the increasing incidence of Kidney diseases'. Next Batch for IVF/ ICSI

The next batch of IVF/ ICSI will be performed tentatively in the last week of September. Though the exact dates are not finalized yet, patient recruitment is almost complete. Few more cases can still be accommodated. So interested couples are requested to contact soon.

Pinewood Center For Assisted Pregnancy


Pinewood Center For Assisted Pregnancy, a new section of the hospital was started in 2008, with a view to offer low cost treatment without compromising on the quality of service to all childless couples. In that direction the first batch of IVF was performed in September, 2009. Since then the center is performing n batches in regular interval. The first IVF baby was born on 4th May, 2010 by Caesarian Section, and that too it was twins.
